General information only
The content of this site is patient education. It describes what makes a face change shape, how descent is told apart from volume loss, and what treatment costs in time, recovery and risk. It is not a diagnosis, it is not a treatment recommendation for any individual, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.
No substitute for examination
How much of your own appearance is descent, how much is volume and how much is skin quality depends on findings that can only be established by examining you: what the face does at rest and in movement, where the tissue over the cheekbone now sits, how the profile reads, and what has been placed in the face before. Reading this site cannot substitute for that, and a plan made from a website alone is a plan made without information.
Results vary and are not guaranteed
Individual results differ, healing takes months and the final appearance is judged later than most people expect. No clinician and no website can guarantee an outcome, and any statement that appears to promise one should be treated with suspicion wherever you encounter it. The face continues to change after any treatment, and further treatment may be needed later.
If something is wrong after treatment
If you have had treatment to the face and develop rapidly increasing swelling, a tense painful area, spreading redness or fever, bleeding that does not stop, a lump that was not there before, new numbness or weakness, or a change in your vision or your bite, contact the treating team or seek emergency care immediately rather than waiting for a routine appointment.
